WGAL News 8 On Your Side continues to hear from viewers frustrated by a lack of response to their unemployment claims.Unanswered emails and phone calls prompted a Cumberland County woman to find a solution she thinks can work for others.”I continued and tried and tried. There’s no getting through to unemployment at all,” Amy Green said.Green’s story is similar to that of hundreds of other viewers who have contacted News 8.“I was absolutely paralyzed in fear that I was never going see the money. I did not know how I was going to pay my rent, take care of my child. It was really scary,” she said.Tired of waiting, Green got on the state’s website. She searched for her state representative and went to their office.”Because of their office, I am now receiving my unemployment, and I am now able to file my biweekly claims,” she said.Green is encouraging others frustrated by the wait for their benefits to contact their state representatives. “They are the middle man.
